So moving on, today I want to share my views whether the expectations on us and the weight of them, help us or not.
Let me open the house by a quote
Expectation word has lots of meaning what I am going to hit on is the meaning which says it is a belief that someone will or should achieve something. Achieving anything is the result of hard work and constant grind. But when expectations come in, be it from parents, be it from society, be it you too, the sense of achieving becomes the sense of necessity, like our life depends on it. This gives me two results either a person would win because his life depends on it, or a person would lose because his life depended on it and he didn't deliver and everything is over.
Let me divide the situations into two scenes...
Scene 1: When expectations led to a win
Shyam studied hard every day. His father was blind and was a teacher also his mother was a homemaker. He always thought that he has to help his parents and academics was the only way to support them. His hard work led him to get a gold in college and he landed a good job where he was able to have the best of both worlds.Scene 2: When expectations led to fail
Shyam studied hard every day. His father was blind and was a teacher and his mother was a homemaker. He had to help his parents and wanted to become a good son for them. despite his hardwork, he did not score well in many subjects. he became depressed and started to stay alone and study, this led him to be under constant pressure. And after a few days, he committed suicide. So can you see how the same situation can lead to two results. In scene 1 Shyam was scoring good and expectations kept motivating him, whereas in scene 2 Shyam was not able to score well in only a few subjects and he created a cocoon for himself where he put himself under constant pressure and this led him to take a catastrophic decision. In his suicide note, he never blamed anyone but himself as to how he could not be a good son.
I just want you people to know that never take your failures as your benchmarks of life. Just ignore them as spam messages which just come to irritate you and move on. Expectations add a whole lot of weight on you and who loves a body with extra weights right. my friend says I am like death come only once expectations are just similar except they come in a bunch.
Throw the weights, through the gates,
then we will go and eat the full plate,
and remember do not make me wait.
So chill out enjoy and have fun so that you die thinking,
"Well, that was fun. We should do it one more time."
Signing off
